More and more Russian higher education institutions are contacting Neso Russia with a request to find Dutch partners. Many of them are looking for a university in Holland for joint Tempus projects based on multilateral partnerships between higher education institutions in the EU and Russia. Neso Russia will therefore publish a new item entitled ’Call for Partners’. Dutch universities may respond to the requests. Call for partners

Joint projects might involve development, modernization and dissemination of new curricula, teaching methods or materials; promoting a quality assurance culture; modernization of the management and governance of higher education institutions; reinforcement of the ‘knowledge triangle’ of education, research and innovation in universities or facilitation of the enlargement of existing ‘Erasmus Thematic Networks’. Joint projects can also include small-scale, short-term mobility activities for students, academic staff, researchers, university administrators and the private sector. More information about such projects is available at http://ec.europa.eu/tempus.

Neso Russia aims to facilitate the matchmaking process between Russian and Dutch higher education institutions. Its staff are working on a database where Dutch universities will be able to search for potential partners in Russia, depending on their proposed areas and levels of cooperation and experience.

Neso Russia would like to ask Dutch institutions to keep Neso Russia informed when they establish cooperation with Russian universities. ‘We are tracking all Dutch partnerships in higher education in Russia’, explains Ksenia Ivanenko, the Education Specialist at Neso Russia. ‘Sometimes it is hard to get started when you are dealing with different education systems. However, we would encourage our colleagues from Dutch universities to contact us if they need any assistance.’
