Rus Prix Award for Dutch Minister

Former Dutch Minister of Education receives Rus Prix Award.
Maria van der Hoeven, Minister of Economic Affairs of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, got the Rus Prix Award for her personal contribution to the development of Russian-Dutch economic relations.
The main aim of the Rus Prix Award is reward Dutch companies, public organizations and persons who have achieved the highest results in the development of business and cultural relations with the Russian Federation.
From 22 July 2002 to 21 February 2007 Maria van der Hoeven held the post of Minister of Education, Culture and Science. As minister she travelled several times to Russia.
The Rus Prix Award is conducted under the patronage of the Embassy of the Russian Federation in The Netherlands, the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs (RSPP), the Trade Representation of the Russian Federation, The Netherlands, the Union of Journalists of Russia and the Netherlands Council for Trade Promotion (NCH).
Previously the Rus Prix was awarded to Mammoet Holding BV, the company that lifted the Kursk submarine, and Dutch astronaut Andre Kuipers for their contribution to the development of Russian-Dutch relations.
