Teamwork: Moscow and Rotterdam business students

More than 60 Dutch and Russian business students from Rotterdam and Moscow are going to do market research in Russia for Dutch companies.

In the first week of June 31 students from the Rotterdam Business School, part of the Rotterdam University of Applied Sciences, are arriving to Moscow. In the Russian capital they will meet their colleagues from IBSA, the International Business School Alliance.

Together the students will work on ‘real life’ assignments; they will do market research for 8 Dutch companies who would like to export to Russia. Research and brainstorms will be done in small working groups.

For the Dutch students the study week in Moscow is part of their minor Doing Business in Emerging Markets. The third year students are studying International Business and Languages.

The Russian business school will also give lectures to the Dutch and teachers of Rotterdam will give classes to the Russian students.

All students and its staff will visit the Nuffic Neso office in Moscow, Thursday 4th of June. The Russian students  will get a seminar on Study in Holland, the Dutch on Study in Russia. Dutch businessman Peter-Paul Vester, (Audit Partner Ernst & Young CIS) will give a presentation on the topic Managing through an economic downturn.

The cooperation between the Rotterdam University of Applied Sciences (HES Rotterdam) and IBSA dates from 1995. The Moscow based institution is part of the prestigious Russian Business University the Academy of National Economy (ANE) of the Government of Russian Federation.

This trip of Rotterdam student’s to Moscow, from 31th May till 6th of June, is financed by the EVD (the Dutch Agency for Business and Cooperation) through the Programme: Internationalisation Vocational Education (Programma Internationalisering Beroepsonderwijs).
