Dutch higher education third on THE best value list

In the Times Higher Education World University Rankings for 2011-2012 the Dutch higher education system is in third place in terms of the number of universities in the top 200 per billion dollars spent. The measurement is referred to as the 'best value higher education systems in the world'.
In another measurement, the number of top universities relative to GDP, the Netherlands even scores second. The University of Utrecht is the highest scoring Dutch university (in 68th place) and there are twelve Dutch institutions in the top 200.
